The jewelry store must decide if it is going to try to sell the customer a well cut stone or a larger carat, poorly cut stone for the same price. This is a dilemma for dealers to consider. From a fair business standpoint it is important to explain to the customer why certain stones are sold for less per carat. Explaining the difference between a fine stone and a lumpy one to the customer is wise because, they will spread the knowledge to others. This will give the fine stones more credibility. People cannot make informed choice without professional, inside knowledge.
Continue reading "Diamonds, Larger Size Or Better Cut?"

Diamonds have a wide variety of uses since they are the toughest substance to date on Earth. However, under normal circumstances they are not any good for conducting electricity unless they are of the rarer form type IIB. Diamonds can however be used to conduct heat.

Diamonds are made up of carbon that was buried deep within the Earth under intense pressure and heat and are brought to the surface from the mantle in a rare type of magma called kimberlite and erupted at a rare type of volcanic vent called a diatreme or pipe.
Continue reading "Diamonds, more than just a girls best friend!"
You need to address four main concerns when you are buying diamond stud earrings. These concerns are called the four C's of diamond buying and they are what determines the quality of the diamond and how much it will cost. The four C's we are referring to are the carat, cut, color and clarity of the diamond.

The actual weight of the stone you buy is called the carat of the diamond. This is a huge factor that determines the price of the diamond. As is to be expected the bigger the carat the more you will pay for the diamond stud earrings. There are a wide variety of carat sizes to choose from making it easy to find the size carat that fits both your needs and your budget.
Continue reading "The Four C's of Diamond Stud Earrings"

Diamond is perceived as the most precious of all precious stones and is peerless. It is a womans best friend and a symbol of love. It shines and glitters and symbolizes purity and strength.

In ancient times, a diamond was considered to be a sign of magic, sanctity, healing, energy, happiness, beauty, and longevity when used, but the saying goes that a diamond is poison when consumed. It was known for its goodness and power to remove all evil. In todays world, a diamond is regarded as a status symbol, an ornament of beauty worn by the rich and depicts a luxurious lifestyle.
Continue reading "Diamond is Forever and Eternity"
